The Sensex was trading at 57,554.93 up by 254.24 points 0.44 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,162.40, up by 70.20 points or 0.41 per cent from the last trading session.
On the BSE, 2441 shares have advanced, 790 shares declined, whereas 107 shares are unchanged.
The top gainers of Nifty 50 are Kotak Mahindra Bank, Titan Company, Asian Paints, Maruti Suzuki, and Tata Consumer products. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are ONGC, JSW Steel, Hero Motocorp, Nestle India, and NTPC.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 27,120.28 up by 1.58 per cent. The top five gainers are Yaari Digital Integrated Services, Venus Remedies, R Systems International, Elgi Equipments, and Jain Irrigation. Each of these stocks gained more than 10 per cent. Similarly, the top five stocks pulling the index down include KIOCL, Tata Teleservices, Heritage Foods, Mahindra CIE, and Mrs Bectors Food Specialities.
Most of the sectoral indices on the BSE were looking bullish, with BSE Realty being up by 3.12 per cent. BSE Consumer Durables being up by 2.15 per cent. Even, BSE Oil & Gas are trading green at 0.30 per cent higher.
