Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on February 18
The core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading flat in the afternoon session.
At 1.30 pm on Friday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 saw a correction similar to the last trading session. The Sensex was at 57,824, down by 172.68 points or 0.30 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,283.80 down by 38.40 points or 0.22 per cent from the last trading session.
On the BSE, 1424 shares have advanced, 1779 shares declined, whereas 120 shares are unchanged.
The top gainers of Nifty 50 are Coal India, SBI Life Insurance Company, Larsen and Toubro, HDFC Ltd, and Tata Steel. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Divi’s Labs, Cipla, ONGC, Shree Cements, and UltraTech Cement.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 27,913.41, dow1 by 0.24 per cent. The top five gainers are Gayatri Project, Everest Industries, TCPL p. Each of these stocks gained more than 10 per cent. Similarly, the top five stocks pulling the index down include Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances, Reliance Infrastructure, Sree Rayalaseema, Centrum Capital, and KRBL.
Most of the sectoral indices followed suit and were trading bearish, except for BSE Power, BSE Energy and BSE Utilities, which were up by more than 1 per cent.
