Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on April 21
Major companies like HCL Technologies, CRISIL, L&T Technology Services, Cyient, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, Nestle India, and Tata Communications are set to announce their Q4 results today.
At 10 am on Thursday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex & Nifty 50 were trading higher, owing to strong global cues from the US markets and a reduction in the 10-year treasury yield. Major companies like HCL Technologies, CRISIL, L&T Technology Services, Cyient, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, Nestle India, and Tata Communications are set to announce their Q4 results today.
The Asian markets were trading flat as the Japanese Yen continues to remain under pressure while China is gradually coming back to normal. The crude oil price has eased while the US dollar is appreciating against the rupee.
Sensex was at 57,446.39, up by 408.89 points or 0.72 per cent while Nifty was at 17,251.75, up by 111.2 points or 0.65 per cent from the last trading session.
On BSE, 2,273 shares have advanced, 709 shares declined whereas 101 shares are unchanged.
The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Coal India, Asian Paints, ITC, Reliance Industries, and Sun Pharmaceutical. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Nestle India, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, and ONGC.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 29,260.97, down by 1.34 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were, Future Lifestyle Fashions, Future Consumer Products, VRL Logistics, Atul Auto, and Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar. Each of these stocks has gained more than 12 per cent. Similarly, the Top Losers include Birla Tyres, Genus Power Infrastructures, Capri Global Capital, Nahar Spinning Mills, and Jindal Worldwide.
The shares of sugar manufacturing companies like Uttam Sugar Mills, Dhampur Sugar, Mawana Sugar, Balrampur Chini Mills, Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar, Renuka Sugar, and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries were trading higher in the range of 5 per cent to 11 per cent. Sector-wise speaking, BSE Energy, BSE Capital Goods, BSE Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services, and BSE Healthcare were leading the markets on the higher side.
