Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on October 22

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-cap Index down 2.52 per cent and the BSE Small-cap Index down 3.81 per cent.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the red on Tuesday with the Sensex down 1.15 per cent at 80,221 and the Nifty-50 down 1.25 per cent at 24,472. About 557 shares have advanced, 3,428 shares have declined and 71 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 2.52 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 3.81 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Tube Investments of India Ltd, Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd and The Phoenix Mills Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Saurashtra Cement Ltd, City Union Bank Ltd and Talbros Automotive Components Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in red with the BSE Industrials Index; BSE Capital Goods Index, BSE Metals Index and BSE Realty Index being the Top Losers which plunged over 3 per cent each.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.45 lakh crore or USD 5.29 trillion as of October 22, 2024. On the same day, 168 stocks hit a 52-week high while 159 stocks touched a 52-week low.
