Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on October 18

The broader markets were in the mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-cap Index up 0.21 per cent and the BSE Small-cap Index down 0.16 per cent.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the green on Friday with the Sensex up 0.27 per cent at 81,225 and the Nifty-50 up 0.42 per cent at 24,854. About 1,942 shares have advanced, 1,993 shares have declined and 108 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.21 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.16 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd and Paytm. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are NALWA SONS INVESTMENTS LTD, Vishnu Prakash R Punglia Ltd and Balu Forge Industries Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Metals Index and BSE Bankex Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Information Technology Index and BSE Teck Index were the Top Losers.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.58 lakh crore or USD 5.45 trillion as of October 18, 2024. On the same day, 245 stocks hit a 52-week high while 35 stocks touched a 52-week low.
