Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on January 05
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,69,32,374 crore or approx. Rs 369 lakh crore as of January 05, 2024.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading positively on Friday with the Sensex up 0.25 per cent at 72,026 and the Nifty-50 up 0.24 per cent at 21,711. About 2,223 shares have advanced, 1,612 have declined and 101 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 72,561.91 and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 21,834.35 on January 01, 2024.
The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.19 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.61 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Godrej Industries Ltd, Vodafone Idea Ltd and Torrent Power Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Sula Wine Yards Ltd, BCL Industries Ltd and Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Information Technology Index being the Top Gainers and the BSE Commodities Index being the Top Losers.
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,69,32,374 crore or approx. Rs 369 lakh crore as of January 05, 2024. On the same day, 497 stocks hit a 52-week high while 8 stocks touched a 52-week low.
