Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on August 22

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-cap Index up 0.67 per cent and the BSE Small-cap Index up 0.47 per cent.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the green on Thursday with the Sensex up 0.18 per cent at 81,053, and the Nifty-50 up 0.17 per cent at 24,612. About 2,451 shares have advanced, 1,513 shares have declined and 89 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 82,129.49 on August 01, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 25,078.30 on August 01, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.67 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.47 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were APL Apollo Tubes Ltd, Indian Hotels Company Ltd and Astral Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Precision Camshafts Ltd, Varroc Engineering Ltd and Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE Commodities Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Utilities Index and BSE Power Index were the Top Losers.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.61 lakh crore or USD 5.48 trillion as of August 22, 2024. On the same day, 342 stocks hit a 52-week high while 15 stocks touched a 52-week low.
