Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on August 08

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the red on Thursday with the Sensex down 0.73 per cent at 78,886.22, and the Nifty-50 down 0.74 per cent at 24,117. About 1,829 shares have advanced, 2,083 shares have declined and 102 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 82,129.49 on August 01, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 25,078.30 on August 01, 2024.
The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 2.63 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 2.39 per cent. The top mid-cap only gainers were Crisil Ltd, MRF Ltd and Bharat Forge Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Garware Hi-Tech Films Ltd, RPG Life Sciences Ltd and Authum Investment & Infrastructure Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Healthcare Index and BSE Bankex being the Top Gainers while the BSE Metals Index and BSE Oil & Gas Index were the Top Losers.
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.46 lakh crore or USD 5.31 trillion as of August 08, 2024. On the same day, 235 stocks hit a 52-week high while 25 stocks touched a 52-week low.
