Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today
As of April 08, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 3.97 lakh crore or USD 4.62 trillion.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Tuesday with the Sensex up 1.49 per cent at 74,227 and the Nifty-50 up 1.69 per cent at 22,536. About 3,092 shares have advanced, 872 shares have declined and 119 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.
The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 1.87 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 2.18 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, PB Fintech Ltd and GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Ltd, Deep Industries Ltd and Pakka Ltd.
On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the red with the BSE Consumer Discretionary Index, BSE Energy Index, BSE FMCG Index, BSE Industries Index, BSE Telecommunication Index, BSE Capital Goods Index, BSE Consumer Durables Index, BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Realty Index surginig over 2 per cent each.
As of April 08, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 3.97 lakh crore or USD 4.62 trillion. On the same day, 52 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 54 stocks touched a 52-week low.
