Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

On the sectoral front, the indices trading mixed with the BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE Bankex Index were the top gainers while the BSE Consumer Discretionary Index and BSE Auto Index were the top losers.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Monday with the Sensex up 0.59 per cent at 77,073 and the Nifty-50 up 0.61 per cent at 23,345. About 2,503 shares have advanced, 1,557 shares have declined and 168 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.66 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.82 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd, Yes Bank and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Globus Spirits Ltd, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd and Apollo Micro Systems Ltd.

As of January 20, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.32 lakh crore or USD 4.99 trillion. On the same day, 115 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 75 stocks touched a 52-week low.
