Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

As of January 03, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.50 lakh crore or USD 5.24 trillion.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Friday with the Sensex down 0.90 per cent at 79,223 and the Nifty-50 down 0.76 per cent at 24,005. About 2,117 shares have advanced, 1,869 shares have declined and 117 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.33 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.02 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Maharashtra Bank, Oil India Ltd and Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are ITI Ltd, Astec Lifesciences Limited and Saregama India Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices trading mixed with the BSE Capital Goods Index and BSE Industrials Index were the only Top Gainers while the BSE Focused IT Index and BSE Information Technology Index were the Top Losers.

As of January 03, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.50 lakh crore or USD 5.24 trillion. On the same day, 199 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 23 stocks touched a 52-week low.
