Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Thursday with the Sensex up 1.83 per cent at 79,944 and the Nifty-50 up 1.88 per cent at 24,189. About 2,395 shares have advanced, 1,574 shares have declined and 117 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.
The broader markets were in the mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.89 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.68 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Oil India Ltd, Ashok Leyland Ltd and PB Fintech Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Rico Auto Industries Ltd, Hardwyn India Ltd and Force Motors Ltd.
On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in green with the BSE Consumer Discretionary Index; BSE Information Technology Index; BSE Auto Index; BSE Consumer Durables Index; BSE Teck Index and BSE Focused IT Index being the Top Gainers which jumped over 2 per cent each.
As of January 02, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.50 lakh crore or USD 5.25 trillion. On the same day, 173 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 25 stocks touched a 52-week low.
