Samvat 2079 turned splendid as Nifty closed above 17,700! Small-cap stocks witnessed strong buying on Muhurat Trading day!

Nestle, L&T, ICICI Bank, and HDFC emerged as the top gainers from Nifty 50 stocks.  

Muhurat Trading has always been an auspicious trading day for investors and this one was no different! Nifty soared 0.87 per cent to close above 17,700 while Sensex jumped 524 points. Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap surged 0.48 per cent & 0.90 per cent, respectively.  

Nestle, L&T, ICICI Bank, and HDFC emerged as the Top Gainers from Nifty 50 stocks.  

Strong buying was witnessed across Small-Cap and SME categories. Meanwhile, stocks like Tata Motors DVR, Yash Pakka, Finolex Cables, and Advait Infratech saw hefty buying.  

All the sectors closed in green amid positive sentiment.
