Railtel Corporation of India Ltd. has secured a work order from the Ministry of Defence, valued at Rs 16,89,38,002 (inclusive of tax), for Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) laying work. This domestic contract, with terms and conditions as per the purchase order, is to be executed by March 17, 2026.
Established in 2000, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd (RCIL) is a "Navratna" public sector enterprise under the Indian government, offering diverse telecom services including broadband, VPN, and data centres. Quarterly Results: The net sales increased by 15 per cent to Rs 767.62 crore and the net profit increased by 5 per cent to Rs 65.05 crore in Q3FY25 compared to Q3FY24.
Nine-Month Results: The net sales increased by 24 per cent to Rs 2,169.22 crore and the net profit increased by 10 per cent to Rs 186.36 crore in 9MFY25 compared to 9MFY24.
As of December 31, 2024, the company’s order book stands at Rs 5,280 crore wherein Government Nomination Contribution is 22.4 per cent, Tender Contribution is 75.7 per cent and Private Contribution is 1.9 per cent. The stock is up by 21 per cent from its 52-week low of Rs 265.30 per share and gave multibagger returns of 250 per cent in 3 years.
