Overnight Digest: Stocks to watch out for on September 22

On Tuesday,  benchmark indices ended in green amid mixed global cues. At close, the Sensex settled gaining 514.34 points or 0.88 per cent at 59,005.27 level, and the Nifty ended at 17,562 levels, which is 165.10 points or 0.95 per cent on the upper side. 

Apart from power and auto, the other sectoral indices ended in the green, with realty, IT and metal indices zooming two-three per cent. In the broader markets, the BSE midcap index rose nearly one per cent, while BSE smallcap index was up 0.2 per cent.

Following stocks are likely to be in focus on Wednesday: 

HCL Technologies - The company has signed a multi-year application services transformation partnership with Lendico, a brand of ING Germany, to deliver application and engineering services to help it create a state-of-the-art digital platform that will make business banking faster and more convenient for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The stock touched its 52-week high price of Rs 1,315 per share and closed with a gain of 1.77 per cent on Tuesday. It is likely to be in focus on Wednesday. 

Real estate stocks - The real estate stocks witnessed a rally today. The BSE Realty Index was up by 3.49 per cent, shining in the sectoral indices. Karnataka Government’s decision to slash stamp duty by 2 per cent is expected to provide a marginal boost to the real estate sector. The volume of sales in the real estate sector are expected to be affected marginally as the two per cent rate is capped for properties worth Rs 45 lakh only. Keep an eye on real estate stocks for Wednesday's trading session.

Infosys - The company has announced its collaboration with ServiceNow, the leading digital workflow company to provide enterprise-level service management for customers in manufacturing industries. Leveraging Infosys Cobalt cloud blueprints, both the companies will jointly provide Operational Technology Management to digitize factories, floors, and plant operations. On Tuesday, the stock has settled in green with a gain of 1.77 per cent. It is likely to be on the watchlist for Wednesday.

Indiabulls Housing Finance - The company announced that its Rs 200 Crore base issue size of Public Issue of NCDs has been oversubscribed 4.04x Times. The issue witnessed healthy demand in the retail category of investors with a total collection of Rs 807.83 crore. The stock has ended in red with a plunge of 3.41 per cent but is likely to be in focus on Wednesday.

Kotak Mahindra Bank - To focus more on the healthcare sector with a targeted set of product offerings, Kotak Mahindra Bank, on Tuesday, announced that it has launched a tailored and holistic suite of healthcare financing solutions ranging from healthcare infrastructure loans, medical equipment finance and unsecured healthcare loans aiming for the key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem. Keep a watch on this stock on Wednesday.

Oil India - Outperforming the BSE Oil & Gas Index, the stock of Oil India has jumped by 7.04 per cent in Tuesday's trading session. After forming two red candles for two consecutive trading sessions, the stock has formed a long green candle along with a rise in volumes in Tuesday's trading session. Keep a watch on this stock on Wednesday.
