While Indian benchmark indices ended higher amid upbeat global cues, the optimism was boosted by robust gains in the consumer durables, financial services and banking sectors. BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods and BSE Information Technology were the largest drags of the session. The BSE Sensex gained 0.77 per cent to 58,074 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index surged 0.70 per cent to a level of 17,107.

Reliance Industries - Shares of the company surged 3.11 per cent, making them the top gainer on the Sensex, as they recovered from their 52-week low of Rs 2,180 per share on the BSE. Reliance Jio today announced the launch of its True 5G services in 41 additional cities across 16 states and union territories, bringing its total reach to over 406 cities.
Adani Green Energy - Shares of the company were under significant buying pressure and were locked at 5 per cent upper circuits, leading the gains in the BSE Power index. Due to consecutive upper circuits, shares have soared by more than 65 per cent in the past month.
NTPC Ltd - The company announced that NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd has signed an MoU with the Indian Army to build, own and operate green hydrogen projects in its establishments. The goal is to simplify logistics, minimise reliance on fossil fuels and accelerate decarbonisation.
