The Indian headline indices ended the session lower due to weak global cues and significant losses in the utilities and power sectors. The BSE Sensex declined 0.31 per cent to 60,858 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index fell 0.32 per cent to a level of 18,107.

Hindustan Zinc Ltd - The company stated that its board of directors will consider the third interim dividend on equity shares, if any, for financial year 2022-23 at its meeting on January 19, 2023. The record date for the third interim dividend, if any, will be January 30, 2023. The shares of the company surged over 4 per cent today before the dividend decision was announced.
Adani Green Energy - Shares of Adani Green Energy tumbled almost 7 per cent today, despite strong gains made by sectoral index BSE Energy in an otherwise weak session. Recently, the business announced that it had purchased a 50 per cent equity stake in Essel Saurya Urja Company of Rajasthan Limited.
State Bank of India - The country's largest lender raised Rs 9,718 crore in its second infrastructure bond issuance at a coupon rate of 7.70 per cent. Bond proceeds will be used to improve long-term resources for funding infrastructure and the affordable housing segment. The session ended with shares down 0.25 per cent.
