The Indian benchmark indices opened flat but were pulled down by significant losses in utilities, consumer durables and real estate sectors. The BSE Sensex lost 0.34 per cent to 62,410 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index fell 0.44 per cent to a level of 18,560.

Metro Brands -The company announced the completion of its acquisition of Cravatex's entire ownership. Cravatex Brands is a company that imports, trades, sells, markets, advertises, retails and distributes footwear, clothes and accessories under several brand names such as 'FILA' and 'Proline.' The stock ended the session 0.91 per cent higher.
HCL Technologies -The shares of a software company dropped 1.38 per cent along with the weakening in global technology stocks. On the other side, the business announced a fresh partnership with Intel Corporation and Mavenir to create and deliver scalable private 5G network solutions for communication service providers (CSP) and broader cross-vertical businesses.
Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd - One of the country's major providers of B2B connection and cloud communication solutions will now offer Microsoft Azure to small and medium businesses (SMBs). This will allow SMBs to modernize their operations by moving business workloads to the cloud on a pay-as-you-go basis and providing a better experience to their customers even as they scale quicker. Shares experienced a fourfold rise in volume and closed 1.76 per cent higher.
