The Indian benchmark indices ended the session marginally higher thanks to robust gains in the information technology and fast-moving consumer goods sectors, while the BSE Realty and BSE Metals sectors performed the worst. The BSE Sensex edged up by 0.04 per cent to 59,655 level at the close.

ITC Ltd - Shares of ITC Ltd ended the session almost 2 per cent higher, making them the top Sensex gainer. The company recently stated that it had executed the transaction documents to acquire 100 per cent of Sproutlife's share capital (on a fully diluted basis) in one or more tranches over a three-to-four-year period.
Zomato Ltd - Shares of the company experienced notable purchasing interest and surged 3.36 per cent, leading the gains in the BSE Large-cap pack. Over the last five trading sessions, shares have soared by more than 5 per cent, registering a modest rally.
Tata Consultancy Services - The company stated that it hosted Israel's Minister of Economy and Industry during his official visit to India. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Israeli government agencies and TCS. Being one of the Top Gainers on the BSE Sensex, shares ended the session 1.84 per cent higher.
