Nifty ‘Cements’ a Strong Rally
Records are meant to be broken, and Nifty’s performance in 2024 has been nothing short of extraordinary. This year, the NSE benchmark, Nifty 50 index has set a new record high for the 36th time, reaching the 24,000 mark for the first time. This milestone, achieved in just 23 trading sessions from May 24, marks the fastest 1,000-point rally since 2021. For comparison, it took 89 sessions to reach 23,000 and 63 sessions to reach 22,000. This week was not just about hitting the 24,000 mark but was also packed with market action, including numerous block deals.
