Markets on a See-Saw: Bulls Return, But Can They Hold Their Ground?

After months of uncertainty, just as Sunita Williams successfully returned to Earth after spending 286 days in space, the Indian equity markets also saw a turnaround. The bulls took charge of the street in the third week of March (17-21), bringing much-needed relief. Nifty delivered a strong 4.26 per cent return in just one week— the highest weekly gain in the last four years since February 2021, and also the biggest since the market downturn began in September 2024. But as they say, good times don’t last long, and the markets faced pressure recently.
