Market Update: The bulls began the run on a positive note!

About 1,981 stocks were advancing as against to 1,108 that were declining, thus indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

Market Update at 9:35 AM: On Tuesday, Indian markets opened trading session on a positive note. Similarly, the Broader indices also witnessed mixed sentiments.

The Sensex is trading higher at 0.12 per cent above the 81,552.85 mark while the Nifty has also soared by 0.14 per placed at 24,892.50 level.

Whereas, in the broader, the Nifty Mid-cap increased by 0.61 per cent trading below the 58,981.70 level and the Nifty Small-cap dipped by 0.07 per cent.

India VIX has zoomed by 2.53 per cent, indicating a slight increase in market volatility.

Within the sectoral landscape Nifty Media and Nifty Metal was among the top gainers while Nifty Realty and Nifty Bank are the major sectors which is underperformed.

Pre Market: Indian markets erased most gains and closed flat, tracking mixed global equities ahead of key rate decisions from the Bank of Japan and the United States Federal Reserve this week.

At close, the Sensex rose 0.12 per cent or 99.56 points, while the Nifty settled at 24,857.30, up 0.09 per cent or 21.2 points. During intraday trading, the Sensex gained 459 points, and the Nifty jumped 136 points.

The GIFT Nifty is trading flat, indicating a muted start for the day, with Nifty futures trading at 24,927.5.

In the U.S., the S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed lower on Tuesday, weighed down by weak chip and megacap shares ahead of earnings from major tech companies this week, while the Dow managed modest gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 203.40 points, or 0.5 per cent, to 40,743.33, the S&P 500 lost 27.10 points, or 0.5 per cent, to 5,436.44, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 222.78 points, or 1.28 per cent, to 17,147.42.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) extended their selling, offloading equities worth Rs 5,598 crore on July 30, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought equities worth Rs 5,565 crore on the same day.
