After a stellar performance in CY21, the equity markets have reacted negatively to developing volatile geopolitical situations in 2022. BSE Sensex is up by nearly 4 per cent in the past one year even as Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) has plunged over 6 per cent while Nasdaq tumbled more than 16 per cent during the same time period.  

The Indian markets have outperformed on a relative basis despite the turmoil caused due to geopolitical situation and the rising crude oil prices.
