Gautam Adani-Backed Power Company Bags 400-MW Solar Order From Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd
The company has set a target of achieving 50 GW by 2030 aligned to India’s decarbonization goals.
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), through its wholly-owned subsidiary Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve Limited (AREH12L), has secured a Letter of Award (LOA) from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) to supply 400 MW of solar power. This grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power project will be developed in Rajasthan, with a contracted tariff of Rs. 2.57/kWh for a period of 25 years, adhering to the terms of the UPPCL tender. Notably, there is no promoter or promoter group interest in UPPCL, and AREH12L is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AGEL.
Earlier, Adani Green Energy Limited, via its wholly-owned stepdown subsidiaries—Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six Limited (200 MW Solar), Adani Renewable Energy Forty One Limited (109.2 MW Wind), and Adani Green Energy Twenty Four A Limited (87.5 MW Solar)—has successfully operationalized a combined 396.7 MW of renewable energy projects in Khavda, Gujarat, as decided at 7:44 p.m. on March 27, 2025, with power generation commencing on March 28, 2025. This commissioning boosts AGEL's total operational renewable generation capacity to 13,487.8 MW.
