Trading range bound for majority of today's trading session, the equity benchmark indices lowered towards the end of the trading session owing to selling pressure in auto, IT and HDFC twins.

The equity markets witnessed a tough battle between the bulls and the bears in today's trading session and ultimately posted a marginal positive close. At close, the Sensex was up 107.73 points or 0.17 per cent at 61,980.72 and the Nifty was up 6.30 points or 0.03 per cent at 18,409.70.

The domestic benchmark indices ended higher in the highly volatile session on November 15 with Nifty closing above the 18400 level. Sensex was up 248.84 points or 0.40 per cent at the 61,872.99 level and the Nifty was up 74.20 points or 0.40 per cent at 18,403.40.

Amid volatility, the domestic benchmark indices ended the day in red with Sensex declining 170.89 points or 0.28 per cent at 61,624.15. Nifty was down 20.50 points or 0.11 per cent at 18,329.20. Among the sectors, realty and metal stocks traded on a positive note whereas FMCG stocks traded on a down note.  

On Friday, shares of Kingfa Science & Technology (India) saw a solid price-volume break and froze at 5 per cent upper circuit, recording an intra-day high of Rs 1402.8 per share on BSE. The scrip witnessed close to 1.5 times spurt in volume in today's session. 

The benchmark indices ended lower following a sluggish mood in the global markets.  

Amid a volatile day for the market, the benchmark indices closed the trading session on a lower note with Sensex being down 151.60 points or 0.25 per cent at 61,033.55 level and Nifty declining 45.80 points or 0.25 per cent at 18,157 level. 

Amid the battle between bulls and bears, the benchmark indices finally ended the trading session in positive territory.  

Rally in European markets, positive momentum in other Asian peers led the Indian markets to rebound during the trading session.

Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL) and its subsidiary JMC Projects received an order worth Rs 3,567 crore at a consolidated level.

Ending marginally lower, Sensex was down 69.68 points or 0.11 per cent at the 60,836.41 level while Nifty was down 30.10 points or 0.17 per cent at the 18,052.70 level. Apart from bank, realty and FMCG all other indices ended the trading session in negative territory.
