Optiemus Unmanned Systems, a subsidiary of Optiemus Infracom, is making significant strides in the defence technology sector with the unveiling of four new advanced drones at the MilIPOl India Exhibition 2025 in New Delhi. These cutting-edge unmanned aerial vehicles are specifically designed to meet the evolving needs of defence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations. The newly launched drones – Marak VT100, Vajra QC55, Canister Launched Loitering Munition, and First Person View (FPV) drones with optical fibre cable-based navigation – showcase the company's commitment to delivering next-generation technology for India's defence capabilities, aligning with the Make in India initiative.

The Vajra QC55, a multirotor drone designed for advanced aerial surveillance, features an EOIR camera, AI analytics, and a vertical lift capability for rapid deployment in remote areas, covering distances up to 10 km with over 80 minutes of flight time. Furthermore, the Canister Launched Loitering Munition stands out as a high-performance attack drone with a 30-minute endurance, a 2.5 kg payload, and beyond-line-of-sight targeting capabilities, deployable from various platforms.
In a strategic move to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and adhere to the Make in India guidelines, Optiemus Unmanned Systems has partnered with Taiwan-based Avix Technology. This collaboration will focus on the joint development, manufacturing, and assembly of high-performance camera systems, gimbals, and related drone components within India. The FPV drones, uniquely equipped with optical fibre cable-based navigation, offer a significant advantage in GNSS-denied and Electronic Warfare (EW) environments, providing unjammable navigation for kamikaze and surveillance operations with ranges up to 20 km and varying payload capacities and endurance.
