This decision was formalized through a Term Sheet signed on November 12, 2024. Posco Poggenamp Electrical Steel Private Limited is a leading manufacturer of CRGO laminations for transformers and reactors, with an annual capacity of 24,000 MT. By acquiring a controlling stake in this company, TARIL aims to secure a reliable supply of high-quality CRGO steel, a critical raw material for its products. This strategic move is expected to enhance operational efficiency, improve supply chain management, and expand TARIL's market presence in the growing energy and infrastructure sectors. Additionally, TARIL has entered into a long-term supply contract with electrical steel mills to further solidify its supply chain and ensure a consistent supply of mother coils.

Additionally, Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited has successfully secured orders worth Rs 565 Crore and Rs 114 Crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and RRVPNL, respectively. These domestic orders entail the manufacturing and delivery of transformers and reactors ranging from 80 MVAr to 500 MVA and 420kV to 765 kV class. The execution of these contracts is slated for the financial year 2025-2026.
According to Quarterly Results, the net sales increased by 79.6 per cent to Rs 461.55 crore, operating profit increased by 290.4 per cent to Rs 80.97 crore and net profit increased by 2,329.1 per cent to Rs 45.91 crore in Q2FY25 compared to Q2FY24. In its half-yearly results, the net sales increased by 90 per cent to Rs 783.54 crore and operating profit increased by 373 per cent to Rs 127.19 crore in H1FY25 compared to H1FY24. The company reported a net profit of Rs 66.74 crore in H1FY25 compared to a net loss of Rs 10.32 crore in H1FY24, an increase of 747 per cent.
