295 Per Cent Returns: Multibagger Capital Market Company Delivers 31 Per Cent PAT Growth

The company’s net profit (PAT) grew 31 per cent YoY to Rs 1,972 crore, up from Rs 1,505 crore in the previous year.

IIFL Capital Services Limited reported a strong financial performance for Q3 FY25, with healthy revenue growth and a notable increase in profitability. While brokerage revenue declined, investment banking and financial products distribution (FPD) segments delivered solid growth. The stock ended the session with gains of 4.3 per cent at Rs 230.65, as investors took the results positively.

Financial Performance

The company’s revenue from operations grew by 4 per cent YoY to Rs 5,826 crore, compared to Rs 5,588 crore in Q3 FY24.

Total expenses increased 5 per cent YoY to Rs 3,964 crore, up from Rs 3,791 crore in the same quarter last year.

Profit before tax (PBT) surged 23 per cent YoY to Rs 2,501 crore, compared to Rs 2,032 crore in Q3 FY24. The company’s net profit (PAT) grew 31 per cent YoY to Rs 1,972 crore, up from Rs 1,505 crore in the previous year.

Segmental Performance

  • Brokerage revenue declined 15 per cent YoY to Rs 228 crore, primarily due to lower block placements.
  • Investment banking revenue increased 60 per cent YoY to Rs 88 crore, with 14 deals closed during the quarter.
  • Financial products distribution (FPD) revenue rose 7 per cent YoY to Rs 107 crore, with FPD AUM reaching Rs 30,457 crore.

The Board of Directors declared an interim dividend of Rs 3 per equity share (face value Rs 2 each) for FY25. The record date for the dividend is set as February 17, 2025.

Stock Price Performance

IIFL Capital Services has delivered stellar returns of 60.14 per cent over the past one year, significantly outperforming Nifty 50, which gained 6.41 per cent in the same period. Over the last five years, the company has generated multibagger returns of 295 per cent. The current market capitalization stands at Rs 6,805 crore.
