Why did these three smallcap stocks gain more than 5 per cent today?

Despite some selling in the smallcap space, Camlin Fine Sciences, Max Healthcare Institute and Polyplex Corporation have gained today.

In mid-day trading, BSE Smallcap was down by 0.95 per cent. However, Camlin Fine Sciences, Max Healthcare Institute, Polyplex Corporation are up as of noon. 

Camlin Fine Sciences zoomed 8 per cent  

This smallcap speciality chemical company had rallied 7 per cent in the last 30 minutes of yesterday’s trading session due to stellar Q3 results. On a YoY basis, revenue is up 25 per cent at Rs 381 crore, EBITDA is up 20 per cent at Rs 55 crore, as a result, PAT is up 100 per cent at Rs 14 crore.  

Max Healthcare Institute jumped more than 5 per cent  

The stock of this leading health care service provider has rallied today with the effect of yesterday’s result announcement in the last hour of the trading session. On a YoY basis, revenue is up 60 per cent at Rs 400 crore, EBITDA is up 100 per cent at Rs 104 crore, and as a result, PAT surged 400 per cent at Rs 73 crore.  

Polyplex Corporation soared more than 6 per cent  

A smallcap polyester manufacturing company, it has been in a rally for the past one week. This company has posted impressive Q2 numbers with strong double-digit top-line and bottom-line growth. The anticipation is getting built up for the Q3 results which is going to be posted next Monday.
