Watch Out For These Penny Stocks Locked In The Upper Circuit Today
Among all BSE-listed companies, 363 stocks were locked in the upper circuit, and 121 stocks were locked in the lower circuit.
Domestic equity bourses, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices, are trading in the red on Thursday. As of 12:30 a.m., the Sensex is up 255 points, and the Nifty-50 jumped 43 points, trading above the 23,200 mark.
The top three Penny Stocks locked in the upper circuit were Praxis Home Retail Ltd, Vardhman Polytex Ltd and Vakrangee Ltd.
On April 03, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.12 lakh crore or USD 4.82 trillion. On the same day, 50 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 63 stocks touched a 52-week low. Among all BSE-listed companies, 363 stocks were locked in the upper circuit, and 121 stocks were locked in the lower circuit.

Vakrangee Ltd (Group A): The company provides technology-driven financial and governance services. On Thursday, shares of the company were locked in the 4.91 per cent upper circuit at Rs 10.89. Vakrangee has announced ambitious plans to significantly expand its ATM network, aiming to deploy 3,000 new ATM machines in the fiscal year 2025-26. This initiative is designed to bolster financial inclusion, particularly in underserved and unserved rural areas, where access to traditional banking services is often limited.
Praxis Home Retail Ltd (Group B): The company operates in the retail sector, specializing in home improvement and furnishings. On Thursday, shares of the company were locked in the 4.91 per cent upper circuit at Rs 10.26. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Vardhman Polytex Ltd (Group B): The company is engaged in textile manufacturing and exports. On Thursday, shares of the company were locked in the 4.92 per cent upper circuit at Rs 9.81. The board of directors, in its meeting on Friday, 28th March 2025, approved the allotment of 2,29,25,000 equity shares at Rs. 12.55 per share upon conversion of preferentially issued warrants. The company received Rs. 21.58 crore, 75 per cent of the issue price, from allottees for the conversion.
