In the morning trade, the major equity indices are trading higher, close to the day's high. The shares of Schneider Electric Infrastructure increased by 13.57 per cent. The company's board of directors decided to increase the production capacity of vacuum interrupters and vacuum circuit breakers by establishing a manufacturing facility in Kolkata.
At 10.58 am, Sensex is trading with significant gains. It is trading with a gain of 463 points at the level of 59,492. Similarly, the Mid-Cap index surged 97 points and is currently trading at a level of 25,916. The Small-Cap index, on the other hand, trades with a gain of 200 points at a level of 29,498.
Nifty 50 index soared 127 points from its previous close, trading at a level of 17,752. Similarly, Bank Nifty rallied 468 points and is currently trading at the level of 39,924. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth Rs 758.37 crore on September 7 while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold shares worth Rs 138.67 crore.
