India VIX, an indicator of market volatility, observed a slight uptick of 0.93 per cent, signaling an increase in market uncertainty.

Sectoral performance exhibited distinct trends, with Nifty Realty and Nifty Energy emerging as the top gaining sectors. Conversely, Nifty Auto, Nifty Pharma, and Nifty FMCG were among the leading losers.

In terms of individual stock movements, Adani Ports, Adani Enterprises, and Power Grid led the gainers, while Titan, M&M, and Eicher Motors faced declines within the Nifty 50 index.

Despite the mixed performance in individual sectors, the broader market sentiment remained positive, with 1724 advancing stocks compared to 1566 declining stocks, highlighting a nuanced outlook in the broader market.
