PSU bank shares extended gains for the fourth consecutive trading session. Adani power and Tata power shares saw a spurt in the trading volume and the stock soared by 3.82 and 2.01 per cent respectively. Meanwhile, shares of BLS international, Avantel and Jayant Infratech made a new 52-week high.
At 11:17 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, is trading with small losses down by 52 points to 61,132 levels. In the broader market, on the other hand S&P BSE Mid-Cap index surged 55 points to trade at 25,879 mark. Likewise, the S&P BSE Small-Cap index jumped 43 points to 29,336 levels.
The Nifty 50 index too is slightly lower, by 13 points and is trading at 18,189. The Bank Nifty similarly climbed by 107 points and is presently trading at 41,793 levels.
On November 07, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs), were net buyer of shares worth Rs 1,948.51 crores. Whereas, domestic institutional investors (DIIs), also turned out to be net sellers of shares worth Rs 844.20 crore.
