Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on June 13

Sensex plunged 1,402 points to 52,901 level at 11.00 am.

Dalal Street had a very bad start to the week on Monday morning as the market fell over 2.5 per cent, tracking global peers. Other factors responsible for such a fall include the US inflation print, which was released on Friday; stoking fears of more aggressive interest rate hikes by Federal Reserve as well as investors’ fear in anticipation of Indian inflation data, due today.  

 

Sensex plunged 1,402 points to 52,901 level at 11.00 am. Similarly, BSE Midcap index trades in a downward direction, losing 453 points at 22,036 levels. BSE Smallcap index also dropped 582 points and trades at 25,274 levels. The Top Gainers on Sensex are Nestle India and Power Grid Corporation of India. Meanwhile, the Top Losers on the index are Bajaj Finserv, Induslnd Bank, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, Larsen & Toubro, and TCS.   

  

Likewise, Nifty 50 index faced a bloodbath, falling by 395 points at 15,806 levels. Similarly, Bank Nifty slipped 1,126 points at a level of 33,357. The top gainers on Nifty 50 are Nestle India and Power Grid Corporation of India. On the other hand, the top losers include Bajaj Finserv, Induslnd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Hindalco Industries, and ICICI Bank.  

     

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 3,973.95 crore on June 10 while the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 2,831.07 crore.
