Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on July 7

At 11.09 am, BSE Sensex saw a gap-up opening and traded with decent gains of 352 points at a level of 54,103.

The main indices traded with respectable increases during the morning session. Auto shares continued to be profitable for the second day in a row. The shares of Titan Company jumped 6.51 per cent as its sales in Q1FY23 grew 205 per cent YoY on a low base and clocked a three-year CAGR of 20.5 per cent over Q1FY20. Also, the shares of Deep Industries surged 7.43 per cent. The business has received a letter of award from ONGC for the three-year to hire two 1,000 HP mobile drilling rigs for Ahmedabad assets.

Likewise, BSE Smallcap jumped 287 points and trades at 25,526 levels. Sensex Top Gainers include Titan (5.84 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (2.79 per cent), Induslnd Bank (2.07 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (1.68 per cent), and NTPC (1.98 per cent).

Nifty index gained 102 points and trades at 16,091 levels. Likewise, Bank Nifty saw a surge of 330 points to trade at 34,654 levels. The top gaining stocks on Nifty are BPCL (2.40 per cent), and UPL (2.03 per cent). Meanwhile, consumer durables, realty, PSU bank, and the auto sector witnessed a high volume of buying.  

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 330.13 crore on July 6 while the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,464.33 crore.
