Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on July 25

The Sensex and Nifty have started the trading session on a positive note, opening higher with gains of 0.01 per cent and 0.03 per cent, respectively.

Pre-market scenario: Despite the ongoing market rally, investors are exercising caution as they eagerly anticipate the Federal Reserve's upcoming policy decision scheduled for Wednesday. The Dow Jones, during its regular trading session, notched its 11th consecutive winning streak, with a gain of over 0.5 per cent. This surge brought the index to its highest level since April 2022 and resulted in a closing point not seen since February 2022. Additionally, both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite also experienced gains, rising by 0.4 per cent and 0.2 per cent, respectively.

 

At 9:30 AM, The Sensex and Nifty have started the trading session on a positive note, opening higher with gains of 0.01 per cent and 0.03 per cent, respectively.

Furthermore, the Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap indices have shown even stronger performances, opening higher with gains of 0.45 per cent and 0.53 per cent, respectively.

Among the sectoral indices, Nifty Metal, Nifty Realty, and Nifty Auto are among the Top Gainers, while Nifty IT and Nifty FMCG are facing losses.

In terms of specific stocks, Ultra Cement, Grasim, and Tata Motors are leading the gains in the Nifty 50, while ITC, Tech Mahindra, and SBI Life are among the Top Losers.

The broader market sentiment appears positive, with about 1385 stocks advancing and only 467 stocks declining, reinforcing the optimistic outlook among investors.

 

On July 24, foreign institutional investors (FII) sold shares worth Rs 82.96 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) bought shares worth Rs 934.87 crore.
