Trident showcases outstanding results: Q1FY22 revenue gains two-fold to Rs 1,485 crore

Trident Limited is the flagship company of Trident Group, a USD 1 billion Indian business conglomerate and a global player. The company is a vertically integrated textile (yarn, bath & bed linen) & paper (wheat straw-based) manufacturer and is one of the largest players in the home textile space in India.  

The company reported its earnings today wherein, it registered a more than two-fold jump in its total income at Rs 1,485 crore in Q1FY22 as against Rs 714 crore in Q1FY21. Meanwhile, its consolidated profit before tax stood at Rs 274.6 crore as against Rs 13.24 crore in Q1FY21. Net profit came in at Rs 206.81 crore in Q1FY22 as against Rs 10.1 crore in Q1FY21.   

The company operates in two major business segments i.e. textiles and paper. In Q1FY22, performance from the textile segment was awestruck as revenue from the textiles segment soared 120 per cent to Rs 1,287.48 crore.   

The company gained 4.60 per cent on BSE and closed at Rs 20.45. The stock is up by 106.57 per cent on a YTD basis while in the last three years, it has delivered 233.61 per cent returns.
