Trident hints high utilization rate for Q4
The Punjab-based, textile and paper manufacturer, Trident Limited informed stock exchanges about its production details for the month of March 2019, on Wednesday.
The company’s bath linen and yarn production stood at 4,421 metric tons and 10,108 metric tons, respectively, while bed linen production stood at 2.30 million metres during March. Trident has reported 13,541 metric tons production of Paper in March 2019. Further, chemicals production stood at 8,367 metric tons.
Total production numbers reported by the company for the fourth quarter of FY19 for bath linen and yarn stood at 10,974 MT and 28,483 MT. This was higher by 2 per cent from its third quarter number. This hints towards higher capacity utilization is despite the company not notifying any new capacity addition during the quarter. Though, the production of bed linen saw decline from 3.14 million meters in January 2019 to 2.30 million meters in March 2019.
Trident is one of the largest exporters of Home Textile products from India. The company exports to more than 100 countries across 6 continents.
Reacting to the news, the stock of touched its intraday high of Rs. 67.90. Today, the stock closed with marginal gains at a per share price of Rs. 67.05 on BSE.
