Top three stocks that witnessed heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 25 per cent. However, by 9.15 am, the index lost nearly 92 points or 0.17 per cent and stood at the level of 52,816.78.   

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by over 2.5 per cent, power strengthened by nearly 0.3 per cent whereas auto slipped more than 1.3 per cent.  

Meanwhile, Mangalam Cement Ltd, Techno Electric & Engineering Company Ltd, and Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd emerged as the top gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. None of these companies have made any significant announcements lately. Hence, the rally in their share prices could purely be driven by market forces.  

Mangalam Cement Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 4.88 per cent to trade at Rs 288.95 apiece.  

Techno Electric & Engineering Company Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 4.86 per cent to trade at Rs 302 apiece.  

Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 4.61 per cent to trade at Rs 54.50 apiece.
