Top three stocks that witnessed heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks emerged as the top gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
After declining 0.15 per cent in the previous trading session, the frontline market index S&P BSE Sensex opened flat today. In the pre-opening session today, the index was trading at the levels of 57,123.26, a marginal increase of 0.2 per cent from the levels of 56,975.99 in the previous trading session.
During this time, the following stocks were the top three gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session.
Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, jumped 15 per cent in the pre-opening session today. At 9.07 am, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 800, an increase of Rs 104.30 from the previous closing price of Rs 695.70 on BSE.
Similarly, Newgen Software Technologies Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 8.08 per cent on the bourses. The rally could be a response to the Q4FY22 results announcement made by the company on Tuesday.
As per the press release, the company’s revenue from operations was up by 15.7 per cent while PAT increased by 8.9 per cent YoY. At 9.07 am, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 495.20, an increase of Rs 37 from the previous closing price of Rs 458.20 on BSE.
At the same time, shares of Astec LifeSciences Limited, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 7.88 per cent. The company released its Q4FY22 results on Monday after market hours. At 9.07 am, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 2,094.95, an increase of Rs 153.05 from the previous closing price of Rs 1,941.90 on BSE.
