At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 177.04 points or 0.24 per cent. By 9.17 am, the index stood at 74,313.89, signifying a gain of 211.57 points or 0.29 per cent over its previous closing.
