These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 211.28 points or 0.27 per cent. By 9.17 am, the index stood at 84,843.12, signifying a gain of 70.92 points or 0.08 per cent over its previous closing.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals dropped by 0.38 per cent, power plunged by 0.83, and auto slipped by 0.20 per cent.
Meanwhile, Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd, Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd rallied 11.48 per cent to trade at Rs 385 apiece. An open offer has been announced following the quarterly and nine-month results ended 31 December 2024.
Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals Ltd an S&P BSE company, surged 11.01 per cent to trade at Rs 2239.95 apiece. The company has announced its financial results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2024, highlighting strong growth and consistent profitability. Revenue from operations increased by 18 per cent, reaching Rs 946 crores, with a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 229 crores.
Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd an S&P BSE company, surged 8.61 per cent to trade at Rs 733.25 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
