Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 384.63 points or 0.48 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 79,633.58 signifying a loss of 157.39 points or 0.2 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals soared by 0.50 per cent, power jumped 0.22 and auto rose by 0.48 per cent.
Meanwhile, Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd, Usha Martin Ltd and Zydus Wellness Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 4.92 per cent to trade at Rs 340.35 apiece. Genus Power Solutions Private Limited (GPSPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, has entered into Share Purchase Agreement (‘SPA’) on June 30, 2024 for purchase of 30,000 (Thirty Thousand) equity shares representing 30% of the total share capital of Maharashtra Akola Amravati Smart Metering Private Limited. Upon completion of the aforesaid transfer of shares, Maharashtra Akola Amravati Smart Metering Private Limited would become a wholly owned subsidiary of GPSPL and a wholly owned stepdown subsidiary of the Company.
Usha Martin Ltd rallied 3.39 per cent to trade at Rs 414.95 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Zydus Wellness Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.33 per cent to trade at Rs 1929.45 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
