At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 242.54 points or 0.32 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 77,187.11 signifying a gain of 194.34 points or 0.25 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.24 per cent, power gained 0.79 and auto rose by 0.49 per cent.
Meanwhile, Kajaria Ceramics Ltd, HBL Power System Ltd and Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
