Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 292.93 points or 0.39 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 75,655.32 signifying a gain of 244.93 points or 0.32 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.98 per cent, power gained 0.95 and auto rose by 0.39 per cent.
Meanwhile, Cochin Shipyard Ltd, Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Astra Microwave Products Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Cochin Shipyard Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 9.37 per cent to trade at Rs 2090.05 apiece.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd rallied 8.72 per cent to trade at Rs 2839.90 apiece.
Astra Microwave Products Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 6.24 per cent to trade at Rs 849.85 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
