Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 137.03 points or 0.19 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened at 72,479.77 signifying a gain of 75.6 points or 0.10 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.45 per cent, power gained 0.49 and auto rose by 0.35 per cent.
Meanwhile, Sanghvi Movers Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Varroc Engineering Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Sanghvi Movers Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.52 per cent to trade at Rs 1343.95 apiece.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd rallied 4.17 per cent to trade at Rs 617.00 apiece.
Varroc Engineering Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 4.14 per cent to trade at Rs 503.95 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
