These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 488.13 points or 0.67 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 71,856.32 signifying a loss of 632.67 points or 0.89 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, all sectors were opened in red where information technology plunged maximum by 2.19 per cent.
Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd and Avenue Supermarts Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Bharti Airtel Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.49 per cent to trade at Rs 944.90 apiece. The company has not made several announcements regarding divestments, and acquisitions.
Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd rallied 3.13 per cent to trade at Rs 918.55 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Avenue Supermarts Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.01 per cent to trade at Rs 4765.55 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
