Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 107.38 points or 0.14 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 74,179.22 signifying a gain of 59.83 points or 0.08 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.53 per cent, power gained 0.10 and auto rose by 0.45 per cent.
Meanwhile, NLC India Ltd, Bharti Airtel Ltd and Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
NLC India Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 9.10 per cent to trade at Rs 238.05 apiece. On March 11, the company announced that it has signed MOU with Rajasthan for formation of JV for adding to set up a 125 MW Lignite Based Power Plant and 1000 MW Solar Power Plant.
Bharti Airtel Ltd rallied 6.79 per cent to trade at Rs 849.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 5.77 per cent to trade at Rs 951.10 apiece. The company has received an order from Ministry of Railways worth Rs 1,909.04 crore for the manufacturing and supply 4,463 BOSM Wagons.
