At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 313.85 points or 0.43 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,220.57 signifying a loss of 84.31 points or 0.12 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.39 per cent, power gained 0.38 and auto fell by 0.11 per cent.
Meanwhile, Rain Industries Ltd, 360 ONE WAM Ltd and TeamLease Services Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Rain Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 8.83 per cent to trade at Rs 192.30 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
