At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 21.85 points or 0.03 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,767.38 signifying a slight decline of 22.75 points or 0.03 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.25 per cent, power gained 0.11 and auto rose by 0.21 per cent.
Meanwhile, Repco Home Finance Ltd, Neogen Chemicals Ltd and Home First Finance Company India Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
